Nicole, Kim, and Rebecca

KIM CUMIFORD – studio owner

Kim Cumiford and her husband Les, have been married since 1990. They have three children, four grand-children and one on the way! They have served in a variety of Christian ministries over the years and began Dance4Him in Farmington, New Mexico in 2002. Kim began dancing in high school and later danced on an adult dancing team for 2 years. She taught ages 3-10 years old at Elite Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for four years: she coached Menaul High School’s Dancing Team: and danced with an adult worship team for 2 years. Kim has many years of dancing experience including participation in a variety of productions doing choreography, instruction, and direction. She believes that dancing is not about “the dancer” but about the one who created you to praise Him.

NICOLE ELDER

Nicole Elder began her dance training in 1994 at Elite Dance Studio in Albuquerque. She continued with Mann Dance Academy in 2001, where she danced the role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and San Juan College in 2002. At Dance4Him studio (2002-2010), she taught classes and danced featured roles in The Dream, A Love Story, by God, The Devil’s Last Dance, and A Tale of Two Roads. In 2004 and 2009, Nicole was selected by San Juan College to dance in the prestigious Young Artist Recital. In 2010-2012, she modeled for Algy Dance Costumes and competed nationally, where she earned three top awards for her solos. Nicole trained with the Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico where she worked with the director, Katherine Giese and with Ballet Master, Alex Ossadnik. She starred in BRT’s The Nutcracker in the Spanish Variation, Pierrot Doll, Snowflake, and Flower and also in BRT’s Alice in Wonderland as a Chess Piece. Nicole has choreographed award winning ballet pieces for streamline dance competitions and enjoys teaching ballet technique in the Four Corners area for the last 8 years. Nicole married Caleb Elder in 2014 and has three daughters.

REBECCA CUMIFORD

Rebecca has been dancing since the age of six, when living in Pennsylvania. She has enjoyed being a part of Dance4Him Studio since 2003. She has been assisting with or teaching classes for over 11 years and has a passion for tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical. Throughout her years of dance, she had the opportunity to be involved in local and national competitions, modeling for Algy Dance Costumes, and many other community events. Rebecca completed her Associate of Applied science degree in 2014 from San Juan College as a physical therapist assistant. She enjoys continuing to teach her students injury prevention techniques to maintain their health as dancers. Rebecca is now one of the artistic directors at Dance4Him Studio & Conservatory and Cornerstone Company. In 2015, Rebecca married Caleb Cumiford, has a son Colton, a daughter Avery, and have two wonderful dogs Lila Rose and Ace Tucker.  

MORGAN ADAMS

Morgan has been dancing for 8 years. She started at Dance4Him in 2006 and danced there until 2012. During her time at Dance4Him, she took ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop classes, and participated in multiple productions, competitions, and other church and community events. Since then, she has assisted teaching ballet at On Fire Studios, and taken ballet and tap classes at San Juan College. She’s very involved in her church, having worked in the children’s ministry, youth ministry, and worship ministry. She is married to Dillon since 2018 and they have two sweet little boys, Ezekiel and Tobias. Morgan is excited to be back serving the Lord at Dance4Him, hoping to pass on her love for dance and especially for Jesus to those she teaches.

MICHELLE WIGGANS

I received most of my dance training in Price, Utah focusing on ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. During this time, I was invited to try out for the Nonstop Dance Company.  With this team, I was able to attend various workshops as well as perform in places like Catalina Island, Ensenada Mexico, Disneyland, and Knott’s Berry Farm.  I moved to New Mexico in 2001 and after a few years I joined Dance 4 Him where I taught the youngest dancers ballet and tap and choreographed their performances.  In 2014, I received my Masters Degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and taught for the public schools for several years.  My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for 13 years and have 2 boys, Lucas and Marcus, who I now homeschool.

Rebecca Rowe

Rebecca started gymnastics in Longview, TX when she was 18 months old. She quickly found a love for it and competed for years on the team until high school. She continued recreational gymnastics while she started cheerleading competitively and for her school. She began coaching gymnastics classes at her home gym and discovered a passion. Alongside gymnastics, Rebecca was also a part of the Junior and Senior Company at the Longview Ballet Theatre where she performed with the New York City Ballet in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan 1 & 2, Cinderella, and The Circus. After high school, she attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where she trained and competed on the gymnastics team for 2 years. After a career ending knee injury, Rebecca moved to Dallas, TX and began chiropractic school. For the first year and a half she coached at The Little Gym in Plano, TX and ran the pre-school program and pre-team at Iarov Elite Gymnastics. She has since graduated from chiropractic school and has moved to Farmington, NM with her fiancé Christopher Moore. She is so excited to start teaching gymnastics again and to share her love for the sport with others!

AMANDA YATES

Amanda is a wife and mother to 8 children. As a young person she was a competitive gymnast.  She start gymnastics at 5 years old  with zero talent but quickly advanced. She went on to  train for the 1996 olympics. After high school she did traveling youth ministry before getting married in 2005. She has a passion for youth ministry and acro dance .

LAURA VARLEY

Laura Varley is an 18 year old former student of Dance 4 Him who has moved into a teaching role after a decade of instruction at the studio. Laura has trained in many styles of dance such as ballet, contemporary, modern, tap, jazz, and pointe. During her time as a competitive dancer, she attended many conventions with the studio where she often placed high in both the personal and team divisions. She is known for her ability to take a viewer on a journey through her movement and often received special awards for her technique and emotion. Laura is a very driven individual who persists in difficulty as displayed by her commitment to the performing arts where she has spent over a decade studying musical theory, guitar, and singing in addition to dance. As a former dancer, Laura understands the necessity of a strong team dynamic and hopes to continue this same environment with her students. Laura looks forward to helping each of her students give praise to God through their natural and learned talents by means of the enrichment of dance.

MEGAN SCHEPPELMAN

Megan began her dance training in 2003 in Jackson, MI. She danced professionally with Jodie Randolph Dance for 8 years and served as the Artistic Director of the pre-professional company, Young Dancers Initiative for 5 years. She currently works as an instructor/choreographer at P & P Dance Centre, in Belleville, MI and Ann Arbor Dance Classics in Ann Arbor, MI. 

Megan has choreographed for many artists in Michigan including Jodie Randolph Dance (Pure Existence at the time), Young Dancers Initiative, Dance Xplosion, and Ann Arbor Dance Classics. She has also assisted Jodie Randolph with her works set on schools such as Novi High School and The Dance Shoppe. Megan’s work has been presented at RADFest in Kalamazoo, American College Dance Association, Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, Michigan Youth Arts Festival, and several regional and national dance competitions. 

Megan graduated in 2016 summa cum laude from Eastern Michigan University earning her BS in Dance Studio Management. Throughout her college years, Megan performed and trained under many notable choreographers such as Wendi Dubois, Holly Hobbs, Jillian Hopper, Sherry Jerome-Wilkinson, Thayer Jonutz, Kathy King, Erik Abbott-Main, Travis Staton-Marrero, Joanna Mcnamara, Jodie Randolph, and Ali Woerner.

In 2018, Megan performed and assisted/ demonstrated for Jodie Randolph at ENDANZA, an International Dance Festival held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She has also travelled around to globe to assist, teach, and choreograph for dancers at studios, conservatories, and schools. Megan also enjoys teaching movement improvisation lessons to local schools and clubs to inspire the next generation of movers.  She is beyond thrilled to continue her journey as a dance educator, dancer, and choreographer in Michigan and beyond.

ROCHELLE MYERS

Rochelle Myers has been married to Brian Myers for almost 27 years. They have 6 children. She has lived in NM for 14 years. Her and her husband have been in full time ministry those 14 years working with individuals caught in addiction and imprisonment. Her dream job was to be a mom since she can remember. She started babysitting at a young age, she wanted to care for children anywhere she could.  Her professional background is in Occupational Therapy. She specialized in stroke recovery and then finished out her time in OT working with pediatrics both in the school and home setting. She loves children, they are more than our future they make up a large part of our today! She believes in “seeing” each child recognizing their potential and planting seeds of encouragement that hopefully will stick with them well into their older years. She is excited to be part of the Dance4Him family. She has entrusted 5 of her 6 children to their quality instruction and she is grateful to be a small part of what they do.
